Madison Counties.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet
and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim,
or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters,
stop, turn around and go another way.

forecast through Tuesday afternoon.
* WHERE…Paint Rock River near Woodville.
* WHEN…Until Friday evening.
* IMPACTS…At 20.0 feet, Portions of Alabama State Highway 65 are
closed due to high water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 2:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 19.9 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 2:00 PM CDT Monday was 19.9 feet.
– Forecast…The river is cresting and is expected to gradually
fall below Moderate Flood stage early Tuesday evening. The
river is expected to fall below Minor Flood Stage Friday
afternoon and continue falling to 13.6 feet early Saturday
afternoon.
– Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
