How can you FORTIFY your health against COVID19?
And can something as simple as VitaminD help?
We’ve been talking SO much about ways to AVOID COVID – but that’s really only part of the equation. Because we should also be talking about ways to fortify your body and health, so that if/when you do get exposed to it, you stand the VERY best chance possible of successfully fighting it off.
So, I’m launching a new series, called #FORTIFY – in which we go through tips on how to do exactly that.
This week? I’m talking Vitamin D. And chances are, you’re low in it.
Why does that matter? Because beyond what we already know about the healthy impact of Vitamin D (and the fact that at least 40% Americans are so deficient in it that their can actually compromise hormone function), there appears to be an association between low Vitamin D levels and severe symptoms of COVID, complications, and even death.

BTW, Vitamin D is one of those levels that it’s important to know YOUR own level. So, if possible, it’s ideal to have your doctor check them. If you don’t feel comfortable going into a lab right now with COVID, companies like Everlywell will actually send you an at-home testing kit for Vitamin D (it just requires a finger prick) – you send it back to them, and then you get your results online. You can still even discuss those results with your doc – all without having to go into the lab!! (And no, I have no relationship with them – I just think they’re a cool company) 🙂
