SCHIZANDRA BERRY:
New York hospitals are successfully treating coronavirus patients with everyday vitamin C. While most think only of its immune-boosting effects, the truth is, vitamin C is one of the most necessary nutrients for a well-functioning, healthy body. Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant, immune modulator and necessary nutrient for proper metabolic function and the production of ATP through the citric acid cycle.
Though most of the public is only familiar with vitamin C as a remedy
and preventative medicine for the common cold , expert biologist,
Linus Pauling, recognized the importance of vitamin C as the
cornerstone of human health.
Vitamin C doesn’t directly kill pathogens that cause the cold of flu – it works
because vitamin C, when properly saturated throughout the human body
helps the body function at its best, producing adequate energy for
strong, disease resistance cells. This is why vitamin C also helps to heal thyroid disease, diabetes, cancer, and improve the youthfulness of
skin, hair, and sex drive.
Vitamin C influences the composition of cholesterol, which is
necessary for steroidogenesis and production of steroid hormones such as pregenenolone, which is used in the mitochondria to covert t4 into t3, a process interrupted by a deficiency of vitamin C results in hypothyroid disease.
Additionally, vitamin C opposes the oxidative burden of iron. Without adequate levels of vitamin C, it is impossible for the body to restrain the oxidative burden of iron, which in turn oxidizes important, sensitive vitamins, fats, and enzymes, which prevents the metabolic system and immune system from working as they are required.
Keep in mind, vitamin C doesn’t work on its own, it is not a panacea;
like other supplements or herbs, it must be supported by a good diet,
healthy environment and stable mind and emotions. Vitamin C doesn’t
work if you take vitamin C at the outset of the cold, you must already
have adequate saturation of vitamin C. However taking it will help to
support proper metabolic function, which in turn can improve immune
function and the body ability to regenerate from a virus or illness.
The proper dose to saturate the system is about 500mg-1g, taken from a
whole food form, with food every few hours until you notice a
metabolic effect such as warmth in the extremities and increases in
color from pale to pink/red. The best sources of vitamin C are going
to be food based sources. most of the supplements are pro-oxidant and
toxic. To put it to perspective, one orange has about 100 mg of
vitamin C.
10 oranges = 1000 mg, which makes about about a quart and a half of orange juice.
You can also use Gubinge, It contains 3000mg of vitamin C per 100g of
fruit. Aceleroa cherry, alma berry and schizandra berry.
