In this video Dr Stephen Hopwood talks about four key Vitamins that are vital building blocks that enable optimal immune system function and give valuable support your physiological function.
I highly recommend testing for levels of the fat soluble vitamins A, D3 and E, to prevent excess levels and achieve optimisation.
Please follow this link and make sure you test and optimise if you can.
Normally purchased, common and frequently used male adult daily amount of these Vitamins can be found as follows…
Vit A 5,000 iu daily. Maintains a healthy lung lining and it’s defence secretions. Anti Viral and immune enhancing. Vital for Thymus gland (key immune gland) function.
Vit C 1000 mg x2 – 10 times daily depending on bowel tolerance and if you have acute infection. Master antioxidant, detoxifies and a free radical scavenger. Vitamin C has thought to have been used in China recently to treat acute viral infections by IV administration.
Vit D3 3 – 5,000 iu daily. A key hormone precursor as well as being fundamental to a correct immune system function. Optimisation is only practically possible through supplementation and blood monitoring.
Vit E 400 iu daily. Powerful antioxidant and Immune modulator, vital for immune cell function. eg. Macrophages, T – cells, NK cells, B cells, Dendritic cells etc.
Fat soluble vitamins A, D3 and E can and will accumulate in the body and so medium to long term use must be monitored by your practitioner.

Article on Vit E.
You basically would want to maintain vitamins A, D3 and E and steady optimal levels and take a low to medium daily maintenance does of Vit C which you can then increase significantly if you feel under threat of acute infection or have symptoms of acute infection.
