Today we are making an immunity-boosting recipe which is beetroot and cabbage stir fry. This a vegetarian dish called Thoran which is frequently cooked in Kerala kitchens.
To a thick bottomed on add coconut oil and splutter mustard seeds.
Once the mustard seeds splutter add chopped onions followed by chopped beetroot & cabbage, grated fresh coconut and chilli flakes.

Red Onions are packed with immune-boosting nutrients like selenium, sulfur compounds, zinc, and vitamin C. In addition, they are one of the best sources of antioxidant that has antiviral properties as well as histamine regulating effects.
Beetroots is high in immune-boosting vitamin C, fibre and essential minerals. Beetroot strengthens your immune system by stimulating the production of antibodies and white blood cells.
Cabbage is a very good source of dietary fibre, calcium, magnesium, and potassium.
Red chilli Maintains Blood Pressure since they have a high content of potassium which soothes blood vessels and regulates blood pressure. They are sources of Vitamin C essentially supports the immune system.
