For years, I have been a monthly online buyer of Thorne Research Vitamin D3 — varying between the 5000 IU and 1000 IU strengths depending on my health goals and what other supplements I’m taking.
While I occasionally try other brands, I keep returning to Thorne for its purity because my body likes it best!
I have doctor-verified allergies and sensitivities to gluten, soy, shellfish, wheat, yeast, eggs and peanuts, so I have had to carefully research ingredient information and then cautiously try the products I buy because the ingredient info is not always accurate.
With Thorne, I’ve learned I can trust their information and depend on their products — for my better health!
I liked the fact that is 5,000 mg – instead of the standard 1,000 mg. The price is very reasonable. My Doctor recommendation the manufacturer and told me that they are very reputable.
In February 2016, bloodwork showed that my Vitamin D levels were extremely low at a 9. (Ah, so thats why I was so exhausted and mentally foggy! Everything else in my bloodwork looked normal.)
Due to horrible seasonal allergies, staying outside in the sun isnt advisable. My doctor recommended Thorne Researchs vitamin D; he even specified the 5,000 IU.
Now, in early July, my vitamin D levels are at 60, a much healthier level. So Id say that the product worked beautifully.
Thorne is hands down one of the best Vitamin Ds you can get. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra couple $$ for the Thorne brand.
I worked for a Dr. who tested D levels for all his patients and youd be amazed what a difference a good D vs. a cheap D does for you. I take this religiously, especially living in the pacific northwest.
