In the 1930s, Dr. Weston A. Price documented the remarkable health of nonindustrialized societies. Generation after generation, these societies consumed nutrient dense whole foods, particularly animal fat.
Dr. Price photographed their wide smiles which was indicative of perfect dental health. It should come as no suprise that these groups of people were also in peak physical shape, free from chronic diseases like diabetes and obesity. The mouth is a window to our health after all.
Dental and skin health are a great gauge for what’s going on inside of our body. Acne and enlarged tonsils may be a sign of vitamin D deficiency. Before you even consider taking loads of acne medications or getting a tonsillectomy, get your vitamin D level checked.
We all may need to get more sunlight, take a vitamin D supplement, and eat foods that are naturally high in vitamin D like meat and eggs.
