In this HarvestPlus webinar, biofortification practitioners shared experiences and lessons learned on the ground during the COVID-19 crisis and how this informs ongoing scale up of biofortification. Examples included iron beans in Nicaragua, zince rice in Bangladesh, iron beans and vitamin A orange sweet potato in Uganda, and vitamin A orange sweet potato in Mozambique. The moderator was Roger Thurow, former Wall Street Journal reporter and expert on global hunger issues, and author of “The First 1,000 Days.”
