WhiteBoard style discussion on a randomized control trial that just publicized their data on taking ivermectin prophylactically. This is a study that is not even in pre-print yet! Which is neat to get that data so early, but also means that all of it needs to be interpreted with a grain of salt until we have the full body of data and the paper. This study looked at individuals who were asymptomatic, but with a recent close family contact that was COVID-19 PCR positive. They then randomized them to receive two doses of Ivermectin 72 hours apart. They analyzed the number of individuals who developed symptoms and/or were PCR positive for SARS-CoV-2 in the group taking prophylactic Ivermectin versus those in the control group. The data they reported noted a significantly lower percentage of individuals developing symptoms in those taking prophylactic Ivermectin! Check out the video for all the details and more!
