US President Donald Trump says the experimental antibody cocktail from Regeneron he took as part of his COVID-19 treatment was a “cure” not a “therapeutic”.

“Some people don’t know how to define therapeutic,” he said.

“I view it different – it’s a cure.

“That’s what I want for everybody.”

In a video released after his stay at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Centre, President Trump said his COVID-19 diagnosis was a “blessing from God”.

“I walked in, a short 24 hours later I was feeling great,” he said.

“I want everybody to be given the same treatment as your president because I feel great.

“This was a blessing from God that I caught it – this was a blessing in disguise.”

President Trump was taking Regeneron’s antibody cocktail along with zinc, vitamin D, famotidine, melatonin, aspirin, Dexamethasone and Remdesivir.

“I spent four days there and I went in and I wasn’t feeling so hot, and within a very short period of time they gave me Regeneron, it’s called Regeneron, and other things too, but I think this was the key.”

“I felt good immediately.”

President Trump said Regeneron and a similar drug from Eli Lilly would be coming soon and free on an “emergency basis”.
