This BBC News report looks at how Bio-Vitamin D3 from Pharma Nord is being used in a clinical trial by Queen Mary University of London into the effects of vitamin D supplementation on the immune system and particularly on protecting the body against Covid-19. The ‘Coronavit’ trial involves more than 5,000 volunteers taking vitamin D supplements for a period of six months. Pharma Nord’s Bio-Vitamin D3 was chosen for the Coronavit study because of its long-established use in other clinical trials and a number of previously published studies which show Bio-Vitamin D3’s effectiveness and its ability to raise vitamin D levels in the blood.
