3 Natural Remedies for Winter Wellness In this video I share 3 natural remedies that have helped my family and I to stay well during the winter period. Makes about 200mls
Equipment needed
• Saucepan with lid x 1
• Grater x 1
• Chopping board x 1
• Sharp knife x 1
• Fork
• Tablespoon
• Sterile jar
Ingredients
• Local honey x 8tbsp
• Filtered or boiled water x 4 tbsp
• Ginger x 1 inch piece
• Lemon x 1 juice and zest
• Thyme x 8 – 10 sprigs
Method
• Measure 8 tbsp spoons of honey and put in the saucepan.
• Then measure 4 tbsp water and add to the pan.
• Remove the skin from the ginger and using the zester grate into the pan.
• Next zest the rind from the lemon and again add to the pan.
• Chop the lemon in half and using the fork squeeze the juice out into the pan.
• Stir everything in the pan.
• Add the thyme sprigs and put the pan on a high heat.
• Bring to the boil and reduce to a simmer for 15-20mins.
• Leave to cool completely.
• Pour into a sterile jar and store in a cool, dark place until needed.

• Jug (optional)
Ingredients
• Boiling water x 1 mug (Enough to fill your mug)
• Ginger x 1 cm piece
• Lemon x 1/2
• Lime x 1/2
Method
• Start by filling the kettle with water and boil.
• While the kettle is boiling, grate the ginger into the mug.
• Next chop the lemon and lime in half.
• Squeeze the juice from the lemon and lime into the mug.
• Once the water has boiled, pour it over the other ingredients in the mug.
o Now if you wish, you can strain the ingredients through the sieve and then pour back into the mug. (Personally, I like the bits).
• Finally, leave to sit for twenty minutes and then once cooled, enjoy.
Equipment

Homemade foot spa
• Large washing up bowl
• Chair
• Towels x 2
• Socks x 1 pair
Ingredients
• Warm to hot water x 1/2 washing up bowl
• Epsom salt x 2 large handfuls
• Baking powder x 1 large handful
• Rosemary x 2 sprigs
• Lavender x 4 sprigs
• Tea tree essential oil x 4 drops
• Lemon essential oil x 4 drops
• Moisturiser (to be used afterwards)
Method
• Fill the washing up bowl with the warm or hot water.
o Make sure you don’t make the water too hot or you will burn your feet.
• While the bowl is filling up, add in the Epsom salt, baking powder, rosemary, lavender, tree tea essential oil and lemon essential oil.
• Put the bowl on the floor.
o I always put a towel under the bowl in case of spills.
• Sit on the chair and put your feet in.
• Soak for 20 – 30 minutes and then dry using the other towel.
• Moisturise and put socks on to help the moisturisers sink into the skin.
