In this video we are going to dive into yet again another Ivermectin study! These authors put together a randomized, placebo controlled, pilot trial for individuals as outpatients with mild disease. They looked at two interesting end points, being viral loads and clinical symptoms. Now, their study was not powered to detect statistical significance, given that it was a pilot trial, but they did find a substantial decrease in clinical symptoms, specifically shortness of breath, cough, and anosmia (lack of smell). Additionally, they postulate a new potential mechanism of ivermectin efficacy relating to acetylcholine receptors and their regulation of the ACE2 Receptor. Check out the video for all the details!
