According to the researchers findings, the new strain of corona virus may be able to re infect more than half of the people who had already been sick with the Covid-19. Mutation on a specific part of the virus’ outer spike protein appear to make it able to “escape” antibodies.
According to a national daily report about 48 percent of blood samples of people who have been infected by corona virus previously did not show an immune response to the new variant of the Corona Virus. If the virus continues to undergo evolution and become resistant to the antibodies then the current vaccine developed and launched so far may need to redesigned to produce an antibody response.
