However, clinical studies have suggested that because of the natural pigmentation that darker skins can produce, vitamin D levels are lower in African Americans and Hispanics in these studies.
Vitamin D and Dark skin: What you need to know is that if are you also a vegan or vegetarian , you need to make sure that you are getting your Vitamin D from mushrooms that are grown OUTSIDE.
