Anyone that knows me knows I hate making videos that are this kind of vulnerable. But I would legitimately not have my mom alive if we didn’t have the heart and stroke foundation. Not only did I know how to check for a stroke and not only did I have the forsite to call an ambulance. But the doctors had the tools they needed to diagnose my mother’s heart attack and save her life.
my childhood friend and I had been estranged for years. I thought I would have time to see him again at a high school reunion. That I might run into him at the grocery store or the pool where he spent a lot of his spair time, and I thought we would have time to connect again. But because of his weakened immune system from Covid 19, his heart became weak and eventually gave out. I can only ever regret that I didn’t try to be in his life after high school.
Maybe one day the research that gets funded will save people’s lives. Maybe the people I we don’t have to die so young if their is early intervention and science on our side.
