Are you getting enough vitamin D? According to a new study by the Lianan Wellness Center, the answer is: probably not. The study used vitamin D data from more than 120,000 samples collected between 2015 and 2022. About 87% of people surveyed were deficient in vitamin D. Adults between the ages of 21 and 30 had the greatest shortfall.

A vitamin D deficiency can increase the risk of conditions such as osteoporosis and high blood pressure. One way to boost vitamin D levels is to get 20 minutes of direct sunlight each day, ideally between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
