Here are two somewhat controversial things I believe (though I don’t think they should be “controversial”):

1. I no longer believe you should be taking Vitamin D supplements.
2. I don’t believe you need to worry much about Vitamin D in the winter.

Why?

As usual, it involves *natural light* and *darkness* and how these two cycles of nature work in your body—both your circadian (daily) and circannual (yearly) rhythms.

Sunlight during the day.
Total darkness at night.

Intense sunlight in the summer.
More extended periods of darkness in the winter.
