StickIt Technologies President Dr Asher Holzer joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share exciting news of the company’s development of a groundbreaking medical straw designed to deliver vitamins and medications to children and adults. Research on the project is slated to begin in 2025, contingent on a successful fundraising campaign.
The medical straw, equipped with a specialized cartridge, is aimed at individuals who struggle to swallow pills or children who frequently miss their doses of vitamins or medications. The innovation builds upon a previously filed patent for a straw-and-cartridge system capable of transporting cannabinoids and medications. StickIt Technologies has adapted the concept to meet the needs of vitamin and medication delivery.
To fund this initiative, the company plans to raise 1.5 million CAD during Q1 and Q2 of 2025. A new subsidiary, StickIt Pharma Ltd, will be established to oversee the project, including research and the pursuit of FDA approval. The company also seeks global partnerships with generic pharmaceutical firms interested in supporting the research and regulatory submission process.
Dr. Holzer emphasized that this innovative solution has the potential to address significant challenges in medication adherence and vitamin supplementation, offering a practical and user-friendly alternative for diverse age groups.
