The coronavirus (COVID-19) has had vast impacts across the United States, and Nevada is no exception. However, some of these impacts have disproportionately impacted racial and ethnic minorities and other vulnerable communities. Our primary goal is to reduce the spread in Nevada, with specific emphasis on communities at greatest risk, including African American/Black, Hispanic, Native American, Asian, Pacific Islander, LGBTQ+, and those who are deaf or hard of hearing.
At the Nevada Minority Health and Equity Coalition, we’re dedicated to providing the resources that will ensure all Nevada residents can have a healthy, productive life. It’s at the heart of our mission. We were formed as a statewide non-profit organization to eliminate health disparities through research, education, advocacy and access to health care services for minority populations.
