Millions of Americans take supplements daily but doctors say they may actually do more harm than good for our health.

Dietary supplements are everywhere but do they really work? Experts are divided on the topic, with most products selling promises that aren’t real.

According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), over three-quarters of Americans take at least one supplement. Those include vitamins, minerals, herbs and probiotics. But not all supplements are created equal.
