“Until the whole world is vaccinated, the whole world will be at risk. The longer the world lets the virus run free to infect and mutate, the more likely the world will face a prolonged crisis. And none of us wants to see this happen.” – Dr. Raj Shah

Calls for a “People’s Vaccine” for COVID-19 are growing but have not yet been matched by needed resources or urgent action. The economic impact of inequitable vaccine access is being felt everywhere, and could cost over $9 trillion—with half of those losses in rich countries. Women and girls the world over have suffered disproportionately.

A global pandemic requires a global solution, and we will not be able to reach a level of “herd immunity” until a vaccine is equitably distributed around the world.

Join thought leaders across policy, public health, and civil society to assess current challenges in vaccine distribution and share key recommendations for a more equitable COVID-19 response moving forward. The event will feature an Open Letter to President Biden, signed by 200+ key stakeholders, calling for an equitable vaccine distribution as a medical necessity, economic priority, and moral imperative.
