I started Black Girls Vitamins and Nature’s Bounty Vitamin D3. Did I notice a difference?

Women over 50 often need to supplement certain vitamins and minerals, and I prefer to get mine from healthy food choices in my diet, but with this pain and a vitamin D deficiency, I needed more.

hey good morning this is like take three because I rarely do it from this angle my phone’s the other direction because I have to charge it I was about to do a live you know one of my summer lives because even though school has started it’s still hot it’s August and I still need my summer time but I will but the sun has moved onto my porch directly and I need to to move so I have to wait a few minutes right so I said let me go ahead and take my vitamins and go ahead and make a video really quickly about what kind of vitamins I take so yes I’ve been feeling stronger but I’m still in a lot of pain those of you who are new to my channel hi um this is 50 plus self-care journey and I talk about um a lot of empowerment things too encouraging things about reclaiming your passions um your skill sets your health lots of things right it’s it’s kind of an Eclectic Channel but right now I’m just talking about my vitamins because um I’ve been in a lot of pain and like I said those of you who follow me know that I have osteoarthritis I had a health scare with something else that had to do with headaches all of that and I’m kind of using swimming pool therapy and some other things to try to deal with that but I’m on that Journey that way too so I’ve been taking supplements and I’m a big proponent of using natural foods and getting your vitamins and minerals from your diet and all of that right but um some things you do need to supplement for and I went to the doctor and she told me so many things were great which was great so I still want to know why I’m in so much pain but my vitamin D was really low which could explain things like why um I have some of these aches and pains some of these um spasms in my legs and all of that so I went and purchased some vitamin D and I just happened to like about a month and a half ago be asked by a company to review black girl vitamins can you even see that I think there black girl vitamins and I chose some I got hair nail um Hair Skin and Nails hope that’s not opposite and I got the once a day black girl vitamins and then I got the Nature’s Bounty D3 gummies and I was wondering what the three meant right and I asked the pharmacist really quickly and she said oh it’s just regular vitamin D Etc I think she didn’t want to explain but I did look up what the differences were because there’s a difference between D3 and D2 and I think it has to do with one is oh it is one is animal-based vitamin D and one is um vegetable based vitamin D and evidently this is supposed to be better for you I think this is the animal based one and I think it absorbs better okay so my vitamin D was really low so I have this I have my um like I said once a day black girl vitamins now why in the world do I need a specific black girl vitamin because um just like when doctors are studying people and they have um someone a patient who is of a certain Heritage or a mix of heritages or whatnot they need to also look for a specific um illnesses that apply to that kind of person like what is it um there’s certain illnesses that show up more in one population versus another and things like supplementing or getting more of one mineral or vitamin versus the other early on will help now I’m almost 60 years old I’m 59 right no 58 I gave myself another year but I’m 58 years old right so um kind of late for supplementing some things but I always ate really healthy right now I weigh more than I’ve ever weighed in my life and I think that has to do with a mixture of just my age and Metabolism um some things that happened in the past couple of years and working from home during the pandemic didn’t help too much but I still was trying to eat pretty healthy but I have to deal with my weight and um for the first time ever ever I got high blood pressure right um over the pandemic from the mix of stress and everything else and I used to be so proud of my 118 and 120 over 70 and over 90 then it hit me and so I have to take blood pressure medication too but anyway they asked me to review this I did a quick live um maybe about like almost a month ago when I first bought them but here we are I’m month later so I can say something a bit more about these vitamins and first thing these things are too delicious okay the on a day they’re just too delicious it’s like candy but it at least reminds me hey I have to take my vitamins this morning right so anyway the once a day are just too delicious they come in orange cherry and strawberry flavored and I can’t say it again right I’m saying it again too delicious okay okay these are okay the flavor is okay the Hair Skin and Nails Now what does this have that this doesn’t um you know isn’t it collagen or whatnot let me look it up I’m not a doctor I’m not really into that that much maybe I should be but I have enough going on but oh my gosh I need my glasses for this I’ll put it down below what this has that this doesn’t but it’s also really important to make sure that you’re not overdosing on certain vitamins and all of that too so since I have to supplement with 2,000 I use uh vitamin D I did look at the back of these in the ingredients to see um how much vitamin D was in this one in this one and in my raw meal that I um drink for breakfast or lunch sometimes you know my Garden of Life raw meal I did a review on that um earlier if you want to see it it’s just a short but I should do a longer one too but anyway to make sure I wasn’t taking too much of the vitamin D so here are my vitamins again that I take a bunch along with oh my gosh my medicines that I have to take now that I would like to get off of which I’m working to do so that’s this part of my 50 plus self-care Journey dealing with these vitamins and um medications and tell me how things are
