🧪 Many studies show no benefit — and sometimes even harm — from long-term high-dose vitamin D supplements.
🩺 Low vitamin D blood levels are often just a signal of underlying inflammation, not the cause of disease.
🌞 Sunlight creates dozens of vitamin D metabolites — many of which supplements can’t replicate.
💧 Your body also makes sulfated, water-soluble vitamin D through UVB exposure — but almost no one tests for it.
⚠️ I’ve seen clients develop thyroid symptoms, hair loss, and fatigue after long-term high-dose D3 supplementation.
✅ And yet short-term, targeted supplementation (paired with vitamin A from sources like cod liver oil) may help in acute situations.
