Oranges are overrated πβ¦ these foods have way more Vitamin C
Most people in India still think π oranges, π lemons or even π pineapple are the richest sources of Vitamin C. But the truth is, our own desi foods are way more powerful.
1. Amla (Indian Gooseberry) β about 600 mg of Vitamin C per 100 g π₯Ά. Thatβs almost 10 times more than an orange which has only 53 mg.
2. Guava β around 220 mg per 100 g π. Nearly three times more than lemon which has 53 mg.
3. Drumstick leaves (Moringa) β about 220 mg per 100 g πΏ. Thatβs close to four times more than pineapple which has 47 mg.
4. Red and yellow bell peppers β between 180 to 190 mg per 100 g πΆ. Thatβs almost double what kiwi gives you, which is about 92 mg.
5. Green chillies β about 140 mg per 100 g πΆπ₯. Believe it or not, thatβs three times more Vitamin C than lemon.
Vitamin C isnβt just for immunit , itβs also key for glowing skin β¨, collagen production, better iron absorption and faster recovery. So instead of relying only on oranges and lemons, load up on amla, guava, drumstick leaves, peppers and chillies β¦the real Vitamin C heroes π¦Έβ
