Not all probiotics are the same. Most store yogurts use just a couple standard strains and short ferment times. When you culture at home with a yogurt maker, you can choose specific strains and ferment longer for a more probiotic-dense yogurt tailored to your goal (e.g., mood, digestion, metabolic support).
Practical notes:
1) Pick a strain with a clear purpose (check the label for the exact strain name, not just the species).
2) Use a clean yogurt maker and follow safe temps/fermentation time.
3) Stay consistent for a few weeks before judging results.

Oh man, that’s a lot of probiotics. Yeah. What the hell? A lot of people don’t know, but there’s all different types of probiotics. There’s thousands, if not millions of species of probiotics. Let’s talk about some of these different probiotics. Now, all of these you can actually culture in this machine and make your own probiotic rich yogurt using each one of these as a starter. This one in particular, Bio Plus, I love personally. I used this many, many years ago and it totally turned around to my health. This is another popular one on Amazon. It actually has a women’s version that also makes great yogurt. This one here is called Sugar Shift. This is designed to help reduce sugar cravings. This one here, Dr. Mcola’s Biothin, and this is actually known to help you lose weight. This one here is called Physicians Choice. This is the number one best-selling probiotic on Amazon, and it makes fantastic yogurt, as you can see, in this machine here. And I learned all about it in this book, Super Gut.
