OK, you probably noticed a lot of sniffling and sneezing around the office. Maybe you’re the one that’s actually doing it. I was last week. I just passed the bug around. We are officially in respiratory virus season, so it is a typical peak between December and February will probably last around mid-May, and obviously when we all get together in the holidays we can spread it everywhere. So there are ways to help your body fight. The bug first, are you vaccinated? Did you get the flu shot, the RSV, — or even the
— COVID shot? And there are also some natural ways to strengthen your immune system that includes getting other medical conditions under control, also getting consistent exercise, staying hydrated, and eating lots of fruits and veggies. Do you have any medical problems that we should be preparing your asthma medications for the fall and winter? Should we be. Making sure your diabetes is well controlled. We want our body to have all of the nutrients, not to be deficient in any nutrients. Also, getting good quality sleep is critical for immune health, your immune system health, and managing stress too. But perhaps most important is make sure that no one is forgetting to wash your hands with soap and water. Why is sleep, fruits and veggies always the answer? Give me a different answer.
