EAST TAWAS – The Collective by Tawas Wellness, located at 821 Newman St. in East Tawas, has scheduled two events for Thanksgiving this year.
First is the 2025 Turkey Trot 5K and Drumstick Dash 1-Mile on Nov. 27 at 10 a.m.
The races will start and finish at The Collective, and participants can run or walk on the course. Strollers are welcome, but those pushing one must stay to the side.
Registration is now open for the races at runsignup.com/Race/Info/MI/EastTawas/TWWTurkeyTrot. The cost of the 5K run and walk is $25 per person, and there is a family discount for three or more people of $5 off per person. On race day, the price will go up to $30. The one mile run and walk costs $15 per person, and it increases to $20 on race day.
Awards will then be handed out after the races conclude at 11:15 a.m.

The races will be followed by a Community Thanksgiving Supper at The Collective in partnership with the Iosco Regional Educational Service Agency (IRESA) Culinary Program.
Executive Director Jenn Brown stated that they hope to be serving 300 people again this year, and that it is donation-based, but with no obligation to do so.
Doors will be open at 12:30 p.m., and food will be served from 1-3 p.m.
