Call it the David Beckham effect – or the sign of an anti-ageing obsessed population – but IM8, one of a spate of longevity supplements to hit the $5.5 billion supplements market recently has, according to its co-founder, raked in $US100 million ($150 million) in revenue in its first year.

Danny Yeung, the founder of genetic testing company Prenetics, who sold his company uBuyiBuy to Groupon 15 years ago, launched IM8 with co-founder Beckham in 2024 after being introduced to the football legend by a mutual friend. Beckham was “supplement stacking” and looking for a simpler solution to taking multiple vitamins at once.
