Rep carpet events are a marathon of preparation, especially where beauty is concerned. Awards season is just starting, and already we’re seeing our favourite people walk the carpet (looking incredible, mind you).
Yesterday at the Golden Globes, Ayo Edebiri was a vision. Dressed in CHANEL by Matthieu Blazy, the After The Hunt actress looked incredible: radiant skin, soft mauve eyes and a very compelling lip combination. Fortunately her makeup artist, Ernesto Casillas, has exclusively told RUSSH the skin and makeup recipe behind her look:
What inspired Ayo’s beauty look?
“I drew inspiration from Ayo’s black gown. Its deep, elegant hue created the perfect canvas for the plum and mauve shades in the makeup, while providing a striking contrast to the silver and emerald brooches on each shoulder.”
What went into skin prep? Can you tell us exactly what you used?
“I focused on creating skin that felt alive, lifted, and effortless. The key was to layer hydration strategically. I prepped Ayo’s skin with CHANEL Le Lift Flash Eye, Sublimage La Crème Texture Suprême Ultimate Cream, Sublimage L’Extrait de Nuit, and Sublimage La Crème Yeux Ultimate Eye Cream. Then, I sealed everything in with a light mist of Sublimage La Brume Intense Revitalizing Mist before starting on her complexion. This helped the foundation melt seamlessly into the skin and provided a soft, luminous finish that still looked refined and red-carpet ready.”
And a makeup breakdown?
“For her complexion, I used Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation B130, Ultra le Teint Le Correcteur Ultrawear All-Day Comfort Flawless Finish Concealer in BD91, Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sun-Kissed Powder in Deep Mauve, Joues Contraste Intense Cream-to-Powder Blush in Grenat Profond and Poudre Universelle Libre Natural Finish Loose Powder On-the-Go Format in Medium Intense.
On the eyes, we used Le Volume de CHANEL Mascara in Noir, Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long-Lasting Eyeliner in Noir Intense and CHANEL Les 4 Ombres Multi-Effect Quadra Eyeshadow in Tissé Rivoli. Her lip was Le Rouge Duo Ultra Tenue Ultrawear Liquid Lip Colour in Intense Nude.”
