This national gym chain is continuing to expand in the San Antonio area, planning to open its third gym in the past two years.
Two-minute impact
Crunch Fitness broke ground on a new, 35,000-square-foot location in Northern San Antonio, according to a Dec. 8 news release.
It’s located at 4319 Thousand Oaks Drive—inside the location of a former Gold’s Gym—and is expected to open sometime this summer.
The location will be owned and operated by The Undefeated Tribe, a franchisee group led by Owner Tony Hartl, according to the release. The group currently owns 41 gyms across the United States.
“We are so excited to bring the Crunch Fitness brand to Thousand Oaks Drive and offer outstanding and affordable fitness,” Hartl said in the release.
Thousand Oaks will be the chain’s seventh overall in the San Antonio area, with the company opening two others on the city’s North Side last year, according to previous reporting from Community Impact.
