The Kingsley Square location of LA Fitness will close in February, according to a notice posted at the gym’s entrance.

North Texans have seen a flurry of LA Fitness closures in recent months. The location on Forest Lane in northwest Dallas closed toward the end of 2025, along with shutterings in North Richland Hills and east Plano. In Lake Highlands, neighbors will have until Feb. 10 at 2 p.m, when the location officially closes, to get their pump in, according to the notice.

Members will have their memberships expanded to all LA Fitness locations nationwide. The nearest remaining LA Fitness is located near the intersection of Greenville Ave. and Lovers Lane.

The notice reads: “We hope we can continue to assist you in pursuing your fitness goals!”

It is unclear whether or not LA Fitness’ parent company, Fitness International, will vacate the property entirely or move one of its other concepts, like City Sports Club or Club Studio, into the space. The City of Dallas’ online permit database does not yet show any building or other permit applications as having been filed for the space.

Kingsley Square recently saw another closure with the departure of Tailgaters Sports Bar and Grill. On the positive side, it also gained a Latin market and food hall as UniMarket Fine Latin Foods made its debut earlier this month.
