Erika Kirk makes an appearance on Fox News

As we’ve come to know Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, we’ve learned that she’s no stranger to a made-up beauty look. The Christian activist rarely takes to the stage or screen without a full face of makeup. She’s known to lean into a full-coverage foundation and contouring, as well as a heavily-rimmed eye. And fake eyelashes, which are one of the outdated beauty trends to leave behind in 2026 (according to our expert), are one of her public-facing go-tos. So it’s almost disarming to see photos of her with a toned-down beauty look because it makes Erika look totally different.

In March 2025, she was photographed at an event in Las Vegas with a much lighter makeup look. Her eyebrows were still filled in to perfection, her lashes were heavily blackened, and she had a healthy flush of blush on the cheeks, but it was notably softer than what we’ve come to know as her standard beauty look.

It’s refreshing to see Erika Kirk’s hair up, too

Erika Kirk’s heavy makeup look probably isn’t the first thing most of us think of when we think Kirk and beauty. It’s her Rapunzel-like blond locks that don’t always deliver for her. A number of her navel-grazing ‘dos are among Erika Kirk’s worst hair looks. So, when we saw photos of the former pageant contestant with her hair worn up, it was a revelation.

One such example was a picture she posted in 2019 of herself in Greece. In it, Kirk’s highlighted hair is coiled on top of her head. She looks so different from the Erika we have come to know with hair that’s always worn down. In another photo, this time from 2018, Kirk wore her hair up in a more disheveled updo. This just goes to show that while a signature beauty look can have benefits, mixing it up and looking fresh also has its merits.
