Students, faculty and staff are invited to kick off the new semester with a campus well being event scheduled for Jan. 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Health Science Student Center basketball courts.
This is the first year this event is being hosted and it’s an opportunity to help the community on campus start the new semester off by focusing on wellness, self-care and goal-setting. Representatives from Student Health Services and the Center of Counseling and Student Development will be there to share information about the support and resources available to students throughout the year.
“Students should attend because it will be a great opportunity to treat themselves, set new intentions for the year, and learn how they can take better care of themselves this year and set themselves up for success,” said Jodi Quemelen, event manager and coordinator of well-being.
The campus Fitness Team will also participate offering information about their programs and services, along with free giveaways. This wellness fair offers students a chance to pause, reset and learn practical ways to care for their physical and mental health this spring semester.
