Residents of Brevard County have a major reason to celebrate their health goals this week. Parrish Healthcare and the YMCA of Central Florida have officially announced that the Parrish Health and Fitness Center, located at 2200 Cheney Highway, will reopen its doors on Monday, February 2, 2026.
The reopening marks the debut of a powerful new partnership. Under this collaborative model, the YMCA of Central Florida will spearhead the daily fitness and wellness operations, while Parrish Healthcare continues to provide an essential on-site clinical presence.
A Mission-Driven Partnership
The collaboration aims to create a seamless bridge between clinical medical care and preventative wellness. Kevin Bolding, President and CEO of the YMCA of Central Florida, expressed his enthusiasm for the expansion.
“This center expands access to the Y’s programs and strengthens our shared mission of improving health and well-being across Brevard County,” Bolding said.
Modern Facilities and Specialized Programming
Visitors returning to the center will notice significant upgrades. Since the project was announced in November, the facility has undergone extensive renovations, including:
An expanded, open-concept workout area.
Modernized group exercise studios.
An updated community conference room.
The center is equipped with state-of-the-art fitness equipment and offers personal training and a diverse roster of group classes. The schedule features everything from Yoga, Mat Pilates, and Cycle to specialized programs like SilverSneakers and Zumba Gold.
Notably, the center will continue to host Rock Steady Boxing, a specialized program designed specifically for individuals battling Parkinson’s disease. These wellness offerings will sit alongside Parrish Healthcare’s existing on-site rehabilitation and laboratory services, providing a “one-stop shop” for community health.
Membership Perks and Future Growth
In a move that adds significant value for local residents, YMCA memberships will now grant access to both the Parrish Health and Fitness Center and the Titusville YMCA. This dual-access model allows members more flexibility in where they workout and engage with community programming.
While the main fitness floor is ready for action, the work isn’t done yet. The center is also beginning renovations on its indoor pool, which is currently slated for a grand reopening in 2027.
Save the Date: Ribbon Cutting
To celebrate the reopening, a public ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Members of the community are encouraged to attend and tour the updated facility.
Hours of Operation:
Monday – Thursday: 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.
