We’ve reached the point of the year when winter is beginning to feel endless, so it’s natural to start fantasizing about warm weather. Though spring and summer bring sunny skies and short sleeves, there’s also a dark side: the onset of allergy season. Luckily, beauty founders are notorious for turning the less-than-sexy aspects of wellness into an enjoyable experience. Starface made acne care cool with colorful star-shaped pimple patches. Rhode and Topicals made correcting dark circles a fashion statement with their branded under-eye masks. And now, Wizard Wellness is on a mission to make allergy care aspirational. “The name ‘Wizard’ came from this idea of having to believe in the promise of magic and also efficacy,” says founder and product developer Lorne Lucree.
The idea came to Lucree after he’d left his nasal spray at home while vacationing in Spain, and he had to buy another one from a new brand. “It worked so well for me and I noticed that the ingredients were similar to what you’d see in a facial mist,” says Lucree. “There were amino acids, vitamin C, and different extracts that actually made me excited to put it up my nose.”
That’s when it clicked: What if we treated our nasal passages like we treat our skin? After years of using standard remedies like Flonase, Lucree started on a journey to make using medication, like skin care, more fun and effective. By incorporating ingredients like licorice root extract, which has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, and glycerin, a humectant, he found that these products helped to treat allergies by healing and hydrating the nasal cavity.

The next step was focusing on the texture of the products. Likening it to the experience of applying K-beauty skin care, Lucree wanted to ensure that Wizard Wellness had a similar feel that would keep customers coming back. “Allergy care only works if you’re consistent,” he says. “Just like you wash your face, you should rinse your nasal passage.” Lucree also paid close attention to the microbiome, infusing the products with a blend of pre- and probiotics that help keep harmful allergens from growing and worsening allergy symptoms.
The last step was branding. “People should think about allergies as a part of their beauty and wellness,” says Lucree. The brand’s name and packaging had to display a vibrancy and liveliness, which explains the bright and bold color palette. While we’re not looking forward to having watery eyes and itchy noses this spring, at least Wizard Wellness can make treating them a little exciting.
The products, which include a nasal spray, oral strips, a nasal inhaler stick, and two sinus rinses, are now available to shop on WizardWellness.com, Amazon, and the TikTok Shop.
