India have received some positive news about its top all-rounder Washington Sundar, almost a week before the upcoming edition of the T20 World Cup 2026. The 26-year-old, who sustained a side strain during the ODI series against New Zealand, is recovering at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru. As per an Indian Express report, he has already resumed batting and is anticipated to resume bowling in the coming days. Washington has a slight fracture, but the injury is healing according to expectations, so it is not a major problem.
