According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Havertz returned last month after knee surgery and started Wednesday’s Champions League match against Kairat Almaty, which Timber and Saliba sat out. He missed last weekend’s 3-2 defeat to Manchester United.
“They are okay,” Arteta said of Timber and Saliba, noting both have played a lot of minutes and had a few niggles. He added it was a chance to reduce their workload and refresh them.
On Havertz, Arteta said, “He is ready.” He added there was no reaction after his midweek start.
Arteta was speaking at his Friday pre-match press conference.
