KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT/Gray News) – Three people have been charged after allegedly stealing more than $18,000 from Ulta Beauty stores.
According to court records, Yilianne Casero, Yoandys Diaz and Sariel Maqueira were spotted inside an Ulta Beauty store in Tennessee before leaving in a red car on Jan. 22.
Authorities conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 40 in Knox County and learned Casero had multiple warrants. A K-9 officer alerted police to drugs in the car.
While searching the car, officers found several trash bags filled with merchandise stolen from multiple Ulta Beauty locations in Tennessee with an estimated value of $18,443. The bags also contained merchandise stolen from Sephora, according to court records.
Casero, Diaz and Maqueira were charged with two counts of theft of merchandise and one count under the Organized Retail Crime Prevention Act.
