Jammie Booker’s Info and Background
Jammie Phillips Booker is originally from South Jersey, just outside of Philadelphia, but moved to Philadelphia a couple of years ago. There, Jammie started working and pursuing her passion. Booker is estimated to be about 6’ 6’’ (1.98 meters) tall and weighs approximately 400 pounds (181 kilograms). Booker’s rumored year of birth is 1996.
For her occupation, Jammie has been a strength and conditioning coach, a personal trainer for athletes and for general health and fitness. Her biggest success was training an amateur bodybuilder, but apart from that worked with regular people who were seeking to improve in the gym.
Jammie Booker did a lot of farm work growing up, since her mom’s side of the family owns a farm out in Iowa. Jammie’s friends in Arizona also had a farm where Jammie also did some work. Moreover, Jammie did a work study in college because she was doing pre-vet. Consequently, Jammie’s tasks included a variety of physically straining movements, including carrying food for the animals. Everything combined is where her strength background comes from.
Jammie Booker has also inherited some sporting genes from her parents, as both of them played basketball in high school and college. Her parents wanted her to pursue basketball, but she did not feel it was the right path for her. So, they enrolled her in athletics, but she ended up moving from one sport to the other throughout her entire life. Jammie also did wrestling in middle school and high school. As for Jammie’s education, she earned an Associate’s degree in biology from Rutgers University–New Brunswick, as per LinkedIn.
Jammie Booker’s experience in the gym started growing once the COVID-19 lockdown ended. Booker felt good having some time out of the house every day. As time passed, Jammie’s obsession with the gym grew. After finding out about Strongman and Strongwoman, Jammie realized that it was the perfect sport for her. Her first steps in the sport were quite basic, as she went into a competition with no experience or a coach. Jammie also did research about the sport, diving into literature and following influential athletes to figure out what works best.
Strongwoman Journey
As far as strength sports go, Jammie Booker first picked up powerlifting. She knew of Strongwoman at the time but was not too intrigued by it. However, Jammie noticed a video of Gabi Dixson performing one of her insane feats of strength. This prompted her to rethink what her plans for the future are, as she noticed that Strongwoman seemed “more fun” than powerlifting.
It took Jammie Booker about two months to make her first appearance in a Strongwoman competition after starting to train specifically for the sport. Jammie spent a large portion of her life trying to cut down, but she grew to accept her larger frame, largely because of the sport.
As for Booker’s experiences on the big scene, she secured the pro card by winning the 2025 Rainier Classic Pro-Am. Jammie took the title in a very convincing manner, beating the second-placed athlete by seven points. Booker also placed second at the 2025 North America’s Strongest Woman.
Jammie Booker then qualified for the 2025 World’s Strongest Woman competition. There, Booker came up against the likes of Andrea Thompson, Nadia Stowers, and other incredible Strongwoman athletes. In the end, Booker came out victorious, but a lot of controversy followed.

Jammie Booker’s Transgender Controversy

That was not the end of the revelations, as more information started to surface about Jammie Booker. Allegedly, explicit adult content videos were found as well, with many believing that a performer that goes by the name of “Jammie Jay” was actually Booker. If true, the content of the videos serves as proof of Booker being a transgender athlete.
The Aftermath
After coming to the realization that Jammie Booker was transgender, and after trying to reach out to the athlete in hopes of gathering more information, OSG (Official Strongman Games) decided to strip Booker of the 2025 World’s Strongest Woman title. In turn, Andrea Thompson moved up to first place and claimed her second win at the competition.
“Had we been aware, or had this been declared at any point before or during the competition, this athlete would not have been permitted to compete in the Woman’s Open category. We are clear – competitors can only compete in the category for the biological sex recorded at birth. Official Strongman is inclusive and proud to run events which do not discriminate against athletes based on personal characteristics. Any athlete is welcome. But it is our responsibility to ensure fairness and ensure athletes are assigned to men or women’s categories based on whether they are recorded as male or female at birth.
Given this, we have disqualified the athlete in question from the Official Strongman World Championships 2025. All athlete points and places will be altered accordingly to ensure that the rightful places are allocated to each of the Women’s Open athletes.” announced OSG.
This was not the end, as the organizers of the 2025 North America’s Strongest Woman also decided to take action, seeing that they were unaware of Jammie Booker being a transgender athlete. So, they apologized to the athletes, coaches, and members of the community for the oversight and announced that they have revoked Jammie’s 2nd-place.
On the other hand, Andrea Thompson was appreciative of the action that the organizers took but pointed out that what was supposed to be a momentous occasion for her was overshadowed by “dishonesty” from a member of the community. A number of other high-profile athletes sided with Andrea.
There has not been a lot of information from or about Jammie Booker since the controversial case at the 2025 World’s Strongest Woman. So, it is pretty unclear what the future will hold for Booker.
