ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) — Community members can learn how to protect their heart health at a free wellness event Saturday morning in Onalaska.

The third annual Heart Walk and Wellness Expo runs Feb. 7 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the R.W. Houser Family YMCA. The event addresses heart disease, which remains the leading cause of death in the United States.

More than 30 local businesses will provide health information. The event features a “Heart Walk” upstairs and a children’s area downstairs.

Attendees who complete an Event Passport can win prizes like a 55-inch television, Garmin smartwatch, walking pad, or $500 Kalahari gift card.

The event requires no registration and is free to attend.
