Forum Kicks Off Dairy Summit with National Dairy Council’s Dr. Katie Brown

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – American Dairy Association North East invites farmers and industry representatives to the Dairy Forum on February 3, at 7 p.m., prior to the Pennsylvania Dairy Summit, for a session titled “Key Trends Shaping Dairy’s Role in Health and Wellness: Dietary Guidelines, Schools, and Highly Processed Foods.”

The Dairy Summit is February 4-5, at the Holiday Inn Harrisburg-Hershey in Grantville, Pa. While registration is required for the Summit, NO pre-registration is required for the Dairy Forum.

National Dairy Council and Dairy Management Inc.’s Dr. Katie Brown will discuss how the national food and nutrition agenda is creating new opportunities and potential headwinds for dairy. She will focus on the 2025-2030 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, whole milk in schools, and the growing attention on highly processed foods.

A nationally recognized expert and spokesperson on dairy’s role in health and wellness, Dr. Brown also focuses on the responsible production practices of U.S. dairy farmers.

“We’re so fortunate to be able to bring Dr. Brown to Pennsylvania to discuss all the exciting opportunities happening for dairy,” said ADA North East CEO John Chrisman. “Please join us for the Dairy Forum and stay for the Dairy Summit to learn from other farmers and network with industry reps to help fuel your businesses.”
