WESTPORT–The Westport Farmers’ Market will host A Day of Care & Connection on Feb. 5, offering the community an opportunity to experience accessible, preventative wellness.

“Held in heated greenhouses for the market’s winter season, the event brings together trusted local practitioners to support whole-body care, nervous system balance, and proactive health awareness,” executive director Lori L. Cochran Dougall said in an announcement. “The programming is designed to be drop-in friendly, educational, and aligned with the belief that prevention and education are meaningful acts of self-care, especially as Valentine’s Day approaches.”

Participating practitioners include:

KiiN Sauna of Fairfield, offering a wood-fired sauna experience

Dharma Massage and Wellness of Westport, providing chair massages

Whole Health Thermography of Bridgeport, presenting an educational talk on non-invasive thermography – a diagnostic technique that measures heat patterns on the skin – and early physiological awareness

Abbey Chase Yoga of Westport, offering a sound bowl healing session to support relaxation and nervous system balance

The event “is designed for everyone, whether you’re curious about new wellness modalities, seeking stress relief, or simply in need of a moment of calm in your week,” Cochran Dougall said.

The market will offer its usual selection of fresh, non-GMO and local food and artisanal products.

For the winter, the market is held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursdays, plus select Saturdays, at 7 Sylvan Lane, Westport.
