The first organizational meeting of a new Coalition is designed to support and energize commercial businesses along Auburn Boulevard. The session will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 20 at Wild and Fly Fitness Studio, at 8215 Auburn Blvd., Suite B in Citrus Heights.
Fuentes said its mission is to unite and empower businesses along Auburn Boulevard and working to improve the vitality of businesses in the area. Its vision centers on creating a “vibrant boulevard filled with energy, opportunity, and community pride.”
Fuentes said she approached the city to discuss the new idea in the beginning of 2025, and has worked closely with the Economic Development Department and the Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce to build a stronger business community and attract more customers to the area.
As part of its early efforts, the coalition hopes to host several community-focused activities, including a corridor-wide “We Are Open” campaign, community market days and art walks, business spotlights and networking mixers, as well as seasonal celebrations and holiday-themed events that showcase partnership and community spirit.
For more information, interested individuals can contact Fuentes through the Wild and Fly Fitness website. Contact information is listed at the bottom.
The coalition embraces the motto: “One Corridor. One Community. One Vision — Auburn Boulevard Alive Again,” reflecting its commitment to restoring the boulevard’s vitality and strengthening the local business landscape.
