Wildside Nutrition comes to Americus

Wildside Nutrition recently opened its doors at 1608 East Forsyth Street, Unit D, in Americus, Georgia. Owner Savannah Haven shared about her business. “It’s been really good, really busy.”
Haven has worked in the service industry for about five years. “I’ve always wanted to be a business owner, so I wanted to get a degree for it, but then I wound up getting the opportunity to work in a tea store in Tifton, Georgia, and that opened me up to the opportunity of having my own business.”
Wildside Nutrition offers meal replacement shakes, protein shakes, and clean energy caffeinated teas. “Just some really healthy stuff that helps get you going.”
Wildside Nutrition sells Herbalife. “I only use one product. It helps me know everything that goes in and out of my drinks. I like to know my product.”
Meal replacement shakes contain between 24 and 27 grams of protein. “They’ve got zero sugar in them. They are not milk based. They are actually water-based, and they have no dairy in them. So a lot of people are scared to try them, because they think they’re more like milkshakes. But they’re not.”
The business also offers protein coffees. The current menu is basic, but within the next two weeks, Haven plans to expand to the full 500 drink menu.
Haven grew up in the small town of Nashville Georgia, and found making new connections in another small town an exciting challenge. “I grew up in a very small town where everybody knew everybody, so it’s a little hard to force myself out into a different town.”
However, Haven hopes to plant new roots. “I’m a big people person, so the more I get to talk to people, the more I thrive.”
The company’s hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 1 p.m.
