After noticing people in her community struggling with self-esteem and acceptance, Triplett
wanted to help. With the goal of creating a space where people can be themselves and work
toward better health, she founded Internal Beauties nearly five years ago.
“People are walking around always wanting to show what external beauty looks like, and I
am constantly telling people, ‘hey, you need to find what makes you happy from the inside out,’” Triplett said. “It’s about feeling good, not just what looks good.”
Internal Beauties provides noninvasive beauty services, including body contouring,
lymphatic drainage, sauna detox therapy, laser lipo, skin tightening, cellulite treatments and teeth whitening.
“Our goal is not just to change bodies, but to change how clients feel about themselves,” the
business’ website says.
Triplett said she did not start the business to make money, but out of passion. She dedicates
time to Internal Beauties while also balancing two full-time jobs and caring for three of her
siblings.
In July 2024, Triplett’s father died, leaving three children in need of a home. Though she was
on her way to becoming an empty-nester, with her youngest child nearing high school
graduation, Triplett took the 4-, 5- and 8-year-olds in as her own.
The following July, Triplett said her business picked up and has since gained 90 new clients.
“I feel like it’s the universe saying you’ve done the right thing… your father’s happy,” she
said.
A key part of Triplett’s services includes helping clients maintain their results by addressing
internal factors such as diet and exercise.
“I don’t care how much you want to pay me to make your outside look good. If you don’t
heal what’s going on internally and what got you there, it’s going to come back,” she said.

She also provides post-operative care for clients who have had invasive procedures, such as
Brazilian butt lifts.
“It doesn’t matter who your surgeon is, you have to change your habits,” Triplett said.
Triplett aims to be a trusted business owner creating health and beauty for men and women in Minnesota’s Black communities by helping them find inner peace and inner beauty.
Next, Triplett’s goal is for Internal Beauties to continue growing to a point where she can
hire other Black entrepreneurs to provide beauty services.
