New Fueling Format for Energy and Electrolytes
Until the launch of SaltStick Energy Gummies last month, the company’s Caps and FastChews primarily provided electrolytes. With these new Energy Gummies, you get fuel and electrolytes. The fuel comes in the form of carbohydrates, and the electrolytes are sodium and potassium.
The new energy gummies deliver 28-36 grams of carbohydrates per packet, depending on the flavor, 170 mg of electrolytes (sodium and potassium), and 100% of your daily dose of Vitamin C. Each packet contains eight gummies, which equal two servings (20 grams). They are gluten-free, caffeine-free, and contain no artificial colors or sweeteners.

These SaltStick Energy Gummies are easy to stash in your top tube bag and grab as needed. They aren’t sticky like gels, and there’s no mess like syrups. Simply grab and chew. Best of all, the gummies are soft but won’t stick to your teeth.
SaltStick Energy Gummies are available in six flavors across three distinct flavor experiences:
Classic flavors – Strawberry and Green Apple bursting with juicy goodness.
Medley blends – Rainbow Blast and OMG! includes orange, mango, and guava in a single packet.
Sour hits – Sour Blue Razz and Sour Pop Rocket deliver an extra kick of sour dusting.
The company sent me their most popular flavor, Sour Pop Rocket. I appreciated having an option that wasn’t overly sweet. This flavor has only 28 grams of carbs, making it ideal for shorter trainer rides when minimal fueling is needed. However, I plan to bring it to Tucson next week, as I’ll be doing longer rides with The Cycling House. Keep an eye out for my trip report, which will include a section on the nutrition I use to fuel my longer rides.
Bottom Line
SaltStick Energy Gummies are a great option when you need both fuel and electrolytes. With six unique flavors to mix and match, you won’t get bored on long training rides. These gummies are caffeine-free, easy to consume, and won’t cause GI issues. What else could you ask for?
