Ah, February, the month of love. Depending on who you are, that might mean the next few weeks look like romantic plans with a partner, dedicated nights out with friends, or embracing self-love in the form of self-care. (It could also include all or none of the above because this isn’t a Hallmark movie.) If you’re a fan of all things beauty, there’s also an opportunity to fall head over heels for the latest product launches.
This month, you can expect plenty of newness from all your favorite beauty brands, in every category, from skin care to makeup to hair. Whether you’re looking for the perfect hand cream to keep your skin soft all night long, a scent that will last through even the longest of dates, or a hair product that will banish damaged ends in a jiffy, there’s a little something for everyone.
If you’re not sure where to start, we’ve enlisted the help of PS beauty editors to narrow down the list for you. After spritzing, swiping, and swatching our way through hundreds of different products, we’re ready to announce our favorites. We found love in makeup products that made us glow as bright as the North Star, creams that quenched the driest skin, and skin brighteners that faked a wide-awake look faster than a cup of coffee.
Ahead, check out some of the best new February beauty launches, including picks in the hair, skin, body, makeup, and nail categories.

Naturium Barrier Bounce Mist ($22)
“If you want a face mist that feels nice and boasts major skin-care benefits, look no further than Naturium’s Barrier Bounce Mist. The gentle, ultra-fine spray (read: it won’t spit at you like some) contains urea, ceramides, and squalane, which all help hydrate and strengthen your skin’s moisturizer barrier. I used it on a recent snowboarding trip and it helped so much on the mountain and my flight home.” — Jessica Harrington, section lead, beauty

Auro Wellness Copper Peptide Serum ($159)
“I feel like I’ve been hearing about peptides nonstop lately, so I decided it was finally time to give them a try on my skin. Auro Wellness just dropped a high-potency copper peptide serum, and to say it’s good is an understatement. I’ve been using it for over three months now and I’ve noticed a serious boost in my skin’s elasticity.” — Renee Rodriguez, senior staff writer and social producer

Skinfix Brighten + Firm 15% Vitamin C Serum ($94)
“On a recent trip, I forgot to pack my vitamin C serum. No big deal, right? Very wrong. Just a week without the Skinfix Brighten + Firm 15% Vitamin C Serum had my skin looking dull and lackluster. As soon as I was reunited with this serum, my skin instantly brightened. It has a thick, milky consistency that sinks in without any irritation.” — Jessica Harrington, section lead, beauty

Tatcha Longevity Memory Cream ($84)
“I’ve been experiencing dry skin lately because of the brutal temps, but all of that changed once I started using Tatcha’s new memory cream. With ingredients like Okinawa Cellescence Complex, it really works to restore my skin’s moisture and elasticity. Not to mention, I look younger and younger every day. I’m obsessed.” — Naomi Parris, assistant shopping editor

Medicube PDRN Pink Collagen Glow Jelly Serum ($19)
“What is PDRN, you ask? Well, it’s a popular K-beauty skin-care ingredient derived from salmon sperm that has a host of anti-aging benefits, and this new Medicube serum is packed with it. Not only does it help plump the skin, but it also contains five percent niacinamide to boost radiance and smooth texture. The lightweight jelly texture absorbs quickly without a trace — aside from your next-level glow, that is.” — Jessica Harrington, section lead, beauty

La Roche Posay Anthelios UV Air SPF 50 Serum Sunscreen ($40)
If you’re still in the party that ‘doesn’t like the feel of sunscreen,’ first, grow up, then try the La Roche Posay Anthelios UV Air SPF 50 Serum Sunscreen. It’s weightless, as the name suggests, and blends into skin with little effort, leaving behind no cast but a healthy glow.” — Jessica Harrington, section lead, beauty

Byoma Bio-Collagen Radiance Facial Mask ($17)
“I love a peel-off face mask but they’re not super common to come by. Byoma just launched a new one formulated to boost your skin’s radiance — and make you look really cute while doing it. The mask starts out thin and then dries down in 20 minutes to a film that can easily be removed. It’s packed with ceramides to nourish, bio-collagen to improve texture, and cica for irritation.” — Jessica Harrington, section lead, beauty

Makeup By Mario Jelly Jar Lip & Cheek Multi-Use Balm ($38)
“When I got a sneak peek at these new Makeup By Mario Jelly Jar Lip & Cheek Multi-Use Balms at a brand event in December, I had trouble containing my excitement. I wanted to tell everyone about them. The little pots of dewy, bouncy goodness add a flush of color to your lips and cheeks with a simple dab of your fingertips. I’m obsessed.” — Jessica Harrington, section lead, beauty

Cocokind Ceramide Lip Blur Balm Hydrating & Smoothing Lip Treatment in Olipop Cherry Cola ($12)
“What could be better than one of your favorite beauty brands teaming up with one of your favorite healthier soda brands? When that 3 pm slump hits or I want a fun drink on a Friday night, I usually reach for an Olipop and now, Cocokind has three new lippies inspired by popular flavors. Olipop Cherry Cola, Cream Soda, and Strawberry Vanilla all smell as good as the drink tastes.” — Jessica Harrington, section lead, beauty

Dove UV Repair & Glow BI-Phase Serum + Oil ($12)
“When I say I’m adamant about sun protection, I mean I’m the friend chasing everyone with SPF spray at the beach, and yet, I’ve never once considered the type of damage UV rays can do to your hair. Dove wants to change that with this bi-phase formula, which is packed with antioxidant-rich ferulic acid to shield your ends from the dulling, drying, and lightening effect of the sun. While I can’t speak to its protective properties just yet (my head has been staying warm under a beanie these last few weeks), I do appreciate the heavy hit of hydration that comes from every spritz, thanks to apricot and coconut oils.” — Kelsey Castañon, editor-in-chief

HigherDOSE Red Light Showerhead Filter ($599)
“I thought I understood the power of red light until HigherDOSE released their showerhead filter. Through 660nm light, the device works to increase microcirculation across my skin and scalp, and filters chlorine, VOCs, and microplastics out of pipe water. It’s the perfect way to make your shower routine more luxurious.” — Naomi Parris, assistant shopping editor

Nexxus Keraphix Liquid Crystallizer ($30)
“There is hair damage, and then there is singed-to-an-inch-of-its-life damage. Mine was in the latter camp after a huge chunk of my hair lit on fire over the holidays (long story short: never put a New Yorker in charge of starting a gas fireplace), which my hairstylist said we’d have to cut off. We did end up chopping the burnt bits, but there were still a few lingering frays at the top of my head that needed help — and that is where this Nexuss Liquid Crystallizer stepped in. I’ve been using it as a leave-on treatment for two weeks, applying it to damp hair after every shower, and it has been a godsend: my hair feels softer than it has in years, and the amino acid-packed formula has smoothed every errant flyaway. I’ll be bringing it with me to every bonfire from here on out.” — Kelsey Castañon, editor-in-chief

Glasshouse Fragrances Sunsets In Capri Body Lotion ($40)
“Not only does the bottle itself feel elevated and luxe, like you’d discover it at a chic resort hotel, but the fragrance of the hydrating lotion inside is so divine. It has notes of mandarin, peach, green grass, jasmine, amber, and musk for a fresh and clean scent.” — Jessica Harrington, section lead, beauty

Remedy Hand & Cuticle Repairing Butter Cream ($18)
“If there’s a hand cream I’d recommend for everyday use, it’s this one from Remedy. Made with shea butter and retinol, it moisturizes the skin while repairing it.” — Naomi Parris, assistant shopping editor

Discothèque Eye Contact Eau de Parfum ($175)
“I’m usually not a musk kind of girl, but this scent from Discothèque has made me an official convert. Bursting with notes of pink pepper, amber, black pepper, oud, and musk, it’s the perfect alluring fragrance. I also love that it layers well with my floral scents.” — Naomi Parris, assistant shopping editor

Odele Hair and Body Mist Grapefruit and Orange Peel ($18)
“I’m a huge sucker for anything citrus, which is why I knew I was going to be immediately obsessed with the new Odele Hair and Body Mist in the grapefruit and orange scent. It smells fresh and clean, and just a few spritzes last all day long.” — Renee Rodriguez, senior staff writer and social producer

P.F. Candle Co Milky Santal HI-FI Candle ($44)
“Pretty much anything santal scented has already won me over before I’ve taken a whiff, but this candle puts a bit of a spin on it. It has top notes of oats, fresh milk, patchouli leaf, middle notes of santal, warm cashmere, white jasmine, and base notes of tonka, musk, and amyris for a cozy finish that is just begging to be lit while you soak in a warm bath or cuddle up with a new book” — Jessica Harrington, section lead, beauty

“As we still have over a foot of snow on the ground here in NYC, I’m holding out hope that spring is around the corner. The new Pura White Amber Mandarin scent is bright and sweet, with notes of citrus, bergamot, berries, and green florals. It makes my living room feel so fresh.” — Jessica Harrington, section lead, beauty
