The beauty industry runs on relationships. Booking it, however, often feels improvised—Instagram searches, endless DMs, availability confirmed somewhere between “maybe” and “I’ll circle back.” Despite the industry’s scale, the mechanics of finding and securing hair and makeup talent have remained surprisingly informal.

Rept’d, a newly launched beauty booking app founded by Miami-based makeup artist and entrepreneur Brittney Foley (@beautifoles), was built in response to that gap.
The platform connects clients with an invite-only network of vetted, on-location hair and makeup artists, functioning less like a traditional marketplace and more like a curated directory. Users can browse portfolios, inquire directly with talent, upload reference images, and manage bookings within a single system. Artists, meanwhile, maintain control over rates, calendars, and communication without commission-based cuts.
The idea took shape through Foley’s own experience working across cities. After relocating from New York to Miami, she noticed how fragmented discovery could be—not only for clients trying to find trusted artists, but for professionals seeking talent in unfamiliar markets.

Currently, the app offers both hair and makeup professionals in Miami and New York, with plans to expand to other cities across the country.
Built by someone deeply embedded in the industry, Rept’d prioritizes structure without overreach with protected deposits, centralized communication, and clear expectations on both sides.
Luckily for us, it’s available in New York and Miami currently, with more cities to follow, including Los Angeles, Nashville and Dallas. Miami event season just got so much easier!
