The American Heart Association and the NFL have awarded Kids Heart Challenge and American Heart Challenge grants to 136 schools nationwide, including five in Indiana. These grants aim to boost physical activity among students and support faculty well-being.

How the Wildflowers Grow Learning Center in Huntington received part of the $6,500 granted to Indiana schools. This local school is joined by Clinton Central Elementary School in Michigantown, Franklin Square Elementary School in Jeffersonville, Wanamaker Early Learning Center in Indianapolis, and West Crawford Elementary School in Eckerty.

“Supporting the well-being of students and educators isn’t just an investment in schools — it’s an investment in entire communities,” said Terri Ruff, board chair for the American Heart Association in Indianapolis.
